Check out the Three of the worst and two of the best players who helped Atletico Madrid knock Manchester United out of the Champions League
Players who are the worst.
Anthony Elanga is the first.
Atletico defenders immediately halted him, and their left-back easily collected the ball from him. He was ultimately responsible for the first goal, as he was easily dislodged and the ball was retrieved from him, allowing Atletico Madrid to score.
He even had a chance to score early in the second half but was unable to do so.
He didn't make any decent deliveries into the box for Manchester United until the 66th minute, when he was replaced.
Harry Maguire is number two.
Almost the entire match was a disaster for him. Losing possessions leads to unnecessary fowls and is simply not a defensively sound strategy. Many fans believed he could play better because his back passes were so awful.
The Captain put in a poor defensive performance, even heading Ronaldo's lips during an impending free-kick.
Jadon Sancho is number three on the list.
Almost the entire contest was wasted by the English attacker. He was always discovered by Fred and Bruno, but he never took advantage of the opportunities that were presented to him.
Player of the Year.
Fred is number one.
Fred was playing like the legendary Ronaldinho for the first 45 minutes of the contest, especially before the goal was scored. Like his legendary Brazilian legend Ronaldinho, he was everywhere, unleashing amazing passes, stylish movements, and exhibiting great talents.
Even in the second half, Fred continued to control terms offensively until he was replaced by Edison Cavani in the 75th minute.
Raphael Varane is number two.
Throughout the game, he was a rock, making crucial interceptions and clearances. In the 77th minute, he almost scored with a header, but Oblak saved him with a fantastic stop.
