Just this afternoon, Wednesday 16th March 2021, reports about a daylight robbery are coming from a town in the Eastern Region called Akroso.
It is quite surprising how the thieves got the courage to execute a robbery in such busy town but they managed to get away with an estimated amount of 2000 Ghana cedis from a groceries store.
Residents placed calls to the police but unfortunately, they arrived at the crime scene later after the thieves had fled with the stolen money. Due to the rush which they were in, they fled and left 2 motorcycles they had brought behind. Eye witnesses claim that the thieves were armed with heavy guns and knives threatening anybody that tries to stop them from executing that robbery. The thieves are on the run as the Police Service is doing investigations to arrest the criminals.
