Host of Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV, Dr. Randy Abbey has strongly queried the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government over the constant deterioration of the Ghanaian economy and the silence of the leaders.
"Look if a soothsayer had told me back in December that the price of a gallon of petrol could reach ¢46 in March, I obviously wouldn't have believed such a person but it's the reality now. A gallon of petrol is ¢46. How? Why?" Randy Abbey questioned.
Mr. Abbey said that the cedi has crossed the 8 under the NPP's economic wizard Dr. Bawumia.
"The cedi has crossed the 8, it's now 8 cedis to 1 dollar. You just can't understand because the NPP said they have an economic wizard in the person of the Vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahmudu Bawumia. Now because of the constant hikes in prices and the depreciating cedi it has affected everything in the country".
Ghana's economy has been rated poor by rating agencies with our currency been one of the worst performing currencies on the continent.
