YOU MISSED THE FIRST STEP TO OVERCOME YOUR PROBLEMS

Life doesn’t get any easier; difficult moments are inevitably becoming more. What do we do? Should we quit or get stronger? This is why I’ve chosen to discuss this interesting element in my first piece. I, personally, believe it is the fundamental and most important element on which life is built. Let’s get to it.

Who defines a problem? Of course, the dictionary may attempt, but it all comes down to what the individual thinks. To be honest, no “problem” is much of a problem if we don’t think a lot about it. How life is, how you see it and how you want to it be all depend on the most vital, life’s central point- mentality.

You already have an idea about the word, so I won’t bore you with the dictionary meaning. In my opinion, problem arises from what you can and cannot do. Therefore, your first step in overcoming it must be to tweak what controls that factor. This controller is what we call mentality. Consider the analogy below for a better view.

Stare at your phone and get a clear mental picture of it. What really makes all its features, including those you know and those you don’t, work perfectly? We can agree it’s the OS (iOS, Windows, Android). This is because it’s this OS which runs the brain of your phone. No wonder companies spend quality time to develop new, updated versions for their devices; Apple keeps working on iOS, Microsoft for Windows and new android versions are released frequently. The essential part is they do that to fix faults and add new advancements to devices.

Just like an OS, your mentality decides what you can or cannot do (the real root of all problems) and, at the same time, provides the remedy to overcome them. Hence, it should be your first way out.

If we want to grow comfortable, then we need to work on our mentality - the basis of all other elements. Whatever other thing you want to develop depends on this very topic. In the scope of our earlier analogy, every app you want on your phone must be supported by the particular OS. Isn’t that simple and true? However, getting the best out of it isn’t comforting and can get complicated.

We can all agree why it’s necessary we talk about it first.

Join me as we discuss how to develop or change your mentality in the next session.
