Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has more away goals than any other player in Premier League history, as he scored twice in a 2-0 win over Brighton at the AMEX Stadium on Wednesday night.

Harry Kane

Kane became the Premier League's all-time leading scorer with his 95th away goal, surpassing Wayne Rooney (94) and Alan Shearer (87). (85).

Prior to the match, the English professional, who also serves as captain of the England national team, had scored six goals in his previous five games, with his penalty against United tying him with Lampard for the most goals in the Premier League's history.

Tottenham's coach, Antonio Conte, tasked Kane, along with Heung-Min Son, with delivering Champions League football for the north London club.

"This is the moment I have to ask a lot of the top players whether you want to have a chance to battle until the finish for this type of target," he said in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

"To Harry, Hugo [Lloris], and Sonny," says the narrator. These players must take control of the situation in order to keep us there until the conclusion.

"'At the moment, experience is quite valuable. We don't have a lot of depth in this team, so it's reasonable to expect the players with the most experience and talent to give their all.

"They're giving it their all, but it's not enough. To achieve this type of goal, we'll need to ask for 120 to 130 percent. "Having people with great talent to guide us until the end and to strive to be very near to reaching this aim will be crucial," Conte said.

After Cristian Romero put the visitors ahead in the first half, Kane scored by diverting Dejan Kulusevski's shot past Robert Sanchez by chance.

He started the second half off perfectly.

Rodrigo Bentancur was able to weave the ball through to the England captain, who made no mistake in shooting past Sanchez at his near post following a Brighton corner. What happened next amid the celebrations, though, was clearly significant.

As Kane sprinted towards the Tottenham fans, an object appeared to be thrown into the air by the crowd behind the goal in celebration.

The Spurs striker's eyes could be seen tracking what turned out to be a Coca-Cola bottle as the camera focused on him.

Kane smashed the bottle on the volley with his left foot, identical to his second goal against Everton.

The exact connection sent the soft drink spiraling away in a cloud of foamy liquid, resulting in some fantastic photographs.
