Former England internationals Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker heap praise on Jurgen Klopp and Trent Alexander-Arnold, respectively, in this Liverpool digest. 

 

Following the Premier League match between Arsenal and Liverpool at Emirates Stadium, Klopp celebrates.

Shearer makes a 'unbelievable' claim about Klopp. 

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has praised Jurgen Klopp's man-management skills, claiming that all Liverpool players 'love playing under him.'

 

Since his arrival at Anfield in October 2015, the German has been on a mission to 'convert doubters into believers,' a phrase aimed at supporters but also applicable to the first-team squad. Under the 54-year-leadership, old's the Reds have grown from strength to strength and are fighting on all fronts this season. 

A number of Premier League managers have praised Klopp's work on Merseyside, where he has transformed the team's fortunes, and Shearer is the latest to sing Klopp's praises. 

The Premier League's all-time leading scorer said on the BBC Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast: "He's an incredible manager, isn't he?" You can tell that everything is fine.

 

After a fine performance on the ball against Arsenal at the Emirates, Gary Lineker believes Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold is the best passer of a football the English game has to offer. 

Lineker, a former England striker, is a well-known admirer of the Liverpool full-back and praised him on social media for his passing ability. 

Alexander-Arnold leads the Premier League in assists with 11 and is four assists away from breaking Dani Alves' record for most assists by a defender in a single season. 

Lineker made the following joke on his Twitter account: "A right back is the best football passer in the English game. What has become of our sport?"
