Pedri has brushed down comparisons to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi after leading Barcelona to a stunning comeback against Galatasaray in the Europa League last 16.
Pedri opened the scoring for Barcelona, delaying his shot until the perfect moment, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed the win for Xavi's side.
"Absolutely not." Much better ones have been scored by Messi. When asked if his goal was Messi-like, Pedri replied, "Comparing me to Messi is ridiculous."
"Scoring a quick goal after he scores is quite beneficial." I paused because I noticed a leg, and then I continued to feign until the shot was fired. "I'm not sure what I did." On the pitch, things just happen to me. I'm fortunate in that I'm not required to think on the field."
Pedri has sent a warning to Barcelona's great rivals ahead of the Clasico against Real Madrid on Sunday.
"We're playing the type of football we want to play and we're having fun doing it," Pedri added. "I'm hoping we have a chance to win."
