A community police officer with the Airport Police Station has been jailed 15 a long time by the Accra Circuit Court for defiling a 10-year-ancient young lady.
Shinning Dzebu—who argued not blameworthy to the charge of contamination—was found blameworthy by the court, managed over by Christiana Cann, after a full trial.
The court held that the indictment demonstrated its case past sensible questions and set up that Dzebu attracted the young lady into his room and had unprotected sex with her.
A short time later, he cautioned the young lady not uncover the act to anybody.
Threat to society
Conveying her judgment, Mrs Cann depicted Dzebu as a threat and danger to society who required to be put absent promptly.
Agreeing to her, it was imperative to slap the convict with a harsher sentence to serve as a deterrent to individuals who had made it a point to be defiling minors, including that it was the as it were way the nation seem secure youthful young ladies and ladies from the preying eyes of men like Dzebu.
She depicted the activity of Dzebu as “animalistic” and thus he must be managed with ruthlessly.
“He could be a unsafe homosapien who should be put absent quickly. He did not appear benevolence to the little child and thus he does not merit kindness,” the managing judge included.
Realities
The reality of the case as studied by the Prosecutor, Delegate Administrator of Police (DSP) Agnes Boafo, was that the casualty along with her close relative lived within the same neighborhood with Dzebu. In October last year, the close relative of the young lady went for a burial service, taking off the young lady behind, she said.
“Dzebu took advantage of her nonattendance and baited the casualty into his room and persuasively had unprotected sexual intercut with her”, she included.
DSP Boafo said Dzebu cautioned the young lady not to reveal what had happened to anybody counting her close relative.
