Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea is said to have signed to a four-year contract with Juventus this summer
The 29-year-contract old's expires at the end of the season, and the Blues are unable to extend it due to UK government sanctions against club owner Roman Abramovich.
Rudiger was rumored to be exploring a contract extension at the club where he has established himself as a top talent since coming for £31 million from Roma in 2017.
The defender has been linked with moves to Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, but he could wind up staying in Serie A next season.
According to the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Germany international has agreed to join Juventus.
According to the rumor, Rudiger will sign a four-year contract with the Serie A giants, preferring them to both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, and will earn roughly £5.4 million per season.
Blues manager Thomas Tuchel acknowledged last week that he is concerned that Roman Abramovich's sale of the club could affect contract discussions with players who are out of contract in the summer.
The basic issue is that we may not be able to do anything about it - it is what it is,' Tuchel stated.
'You never know; it might have a favorable or negative impact on the discussions.'
'We cannot forecast, and I prefer not to do so because it causes me to lose focus, but everyone is in a different situation and has different feelings about it' (the sale).
I'm still hoping for the best, and I believe we have something to give.
Chelsea is and will continue to be a strong club.
'Our owner has decided to sell the club, but he is selling a powerful, robust, and well-organized club.'
Rudiger has established himself as one of the top defenders in the world since Tuchel took over at Chelsea in January 2021.
