According to reports, Marcus Rashford has been linked with a shock move to Liverpool, who are keeping a close eye on the 24-year-situation old's at Old Trafford. Rashford has largely been relegated to a supporting role at United since Ralf Rangnick took over in November, and he has struggled to impress on a consistent basis for the Red Devils in recent years.
The England striker is said to be considering a move away from Manchester United in the near future after becoming dissatisfied with life on the outskirts. According to the Manchester Evening News, there is no shortage of early interest in Rashford's services, with Barcelona and Liverpool already keeping a close eye on the situation.
Rashford joining Liverpool would be a major surprise given his Manchester roots and affection for United, the club he joined at the age of seven and has spent the entirety of his professional career with. However, if the forward decides to leave, a move to Anfield does not appear to be out of the question.
Despite Rashford's United connections, Jurgen Klopp is known to be a fan of the player and may be tempted to launch an ambitious bid to sign him if the opportunity arises later in the season. The German coach expressed his admiration for the player after forcing the UK government to make an embarrassing U-turn on their free school meals policy in 2020.

"And, despite the rivalry between the clubs, we are as footballers and as human beings in these moments."
