POLICE SWOOP ON RECALCITRANT MOTOR RIDERS AT SOGAKOPE

The Police Motor Activity and Transport Division at Sogakope has sorted out a two-hour swoop on obstinate motor riders, which saw the impounding of 18 motorcycles for different offenses.

 

 

The group, driven by the Locale Police Commander, DSP Olivia Turkson, carried out the work out in collaboration with authorities from the National Road Security Commission.

 

 

DSP Mrs Effia Tenge, the Volta Regional Police Open Issues Officer, who briefed the Ghana News Office, said the offenses included riding without the essential documentation, riding unregistered motorbikes, ‘’hopping of ruddy lights’’ and utilizing unapproved courses.

 

She said the guilty parties were experiencing screening and those found at fault would be arraigned.
