Due to the FA Cup quarterfinals round, four scheduled fixtures were canceled this week, but it was still a blissful week in which we saw Leeds United win their second game against Wolverhampton after an 8-game winless run, Arsenal take over the Red Devils' 4th spot after a win against Aston Villa, Leicester City double down on Brentford at home, and finally Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United 3-1 at home today.
As a courtesy, I'd like to introduce you to the team of the week.
Goalkeeper
Schmeichel, Kasper (Leicester)
Despite conceding against Brentford, despite being the only goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet this week, the Dane stopper was more convincing for the goal post. He made five saves, four of which were smart stops, as well as a high claim.
Defenders
Timothy Castagne is a writer and a musician (Leicester)
After giving the Foxes the lead in the 20th minute, the Belgian international covers the wing and defends the goal to secure a 2-1 victory at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Amartey, Daniel (Leicester City)
Amartey also had a quiet game this week, causing havoc on the Foxes' defense with seven clearances and two blocked shots.
Ben White is a writer who lives in the United (Arsenal)
After helping his side to a 1-0 victory away at Aston Villa with combative defensive qualities and a clean sheet, the 24-year-old English international pairs with Amartey at the center-back position.
Ayling, Luke (Leeds United)
Leeds United came back from two goals down to beat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux Stadium on Friday night thanks to a brilliant strike from Ayling in the 91st minute. And Ayling came through.
Midfielders
Saka Bukayo (Arsenal)
Saka was obviously included to this week's team after providing the Gunners with the lead and only goal against Aston Villa this week, as well as two vital passes, three received fouls, and some goal attempts.
Wissa, Yoane (Brentford)
Despite failing to score against Leicester City, the DR Congo international showed to be a one-of-a-kind player by scoring the team's consolidation goal.
Maddison, James (Leicester City)
Starting in the third half of the field, Maddison was brilliant, distributing passes, generating chances, and scoring a goal.
Forward
Son, Heung-Min (Tottenham)
The South Korean put on yet another stunning display today. He was particularly powerful on the wings, unsettling West Ham United defenders and scoring two goals in today's 3-1 triumph.
Harry Kane is an English footballer who plays for Tottenham Hot (Tottenham)
With two assists, three shots on goal, and four vital passes, Kane once again led Spurs to victory.
Trincao, Francisco (Wolverhampton)
Starting from the bench, the Portuguese international was directly involved in Wolves' two goals (a goal and an assist), but it wasn't enough to seal a win at home when teammate Raul Jimenez was sent off in a 3-2 loss to Leeds United.
