Following the signing of Dusan Vlahovic, Paulo Dybala is "no longer at the center of Juventus' project" and will be allowed to depart for nothing in the summer, according to Maurizio Arrivabene, the club's CEO.
Dybala's current contract with Turin expires at the end of the season, and he was in talks with the club about extending it.
However, Dybala's seven-year spell at Juventus will come to an end with Vlahovic's £62 million move from Fiorentina in January, since Juventus decided not to give the Argentine a new contract
Arrivabene has disclosed that Juventus has decided to let the 28-year-contract old's lapse, allowing him to leave on a free transfer in the summer.
'It was a nice, clear, and courteous encounter,' he told reporters.
We took a genuine approach.
'Paulo was no longer at the center of the project with the entrance of Vlahovic, therefore we made this decision.'
Dusan's entrance shifted the situation.
The team's technical structure, as well as the Juventus project, have changed.
Dybala's contract, which has not been renewed, is one of the alterations.'
Juventus had already offered the Argentine a contract in October, with the intention of lowering his wage before deciding not to extend it.
'It would have been difficult for Juventus to make a lesser offer,' he said.
Paulo spent seven years of his career with us, and such an offer would not have demonstrated the respect that he deserves.
Dybala's technical ability has never been questioned.
'In October, the parameters were different.
Attendance, contract term, and other financial considerations were all factors to be considered
It is critical to emphasize that the management makes decisions in favor of the club, not against it.'
The player has previously been connected with a number of Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Massimiliano Allegri was asked about Dybala's future after Sunday's 2-0 win against Salernitana, a game in which the forward scored
'The rapport with Paulo and all the players is good,' the Juventus coach told DAZN. There are some disagreements, and I am always direct, but I do so for the benefit of the players, who know they have my trust and admiration.
'It is my responsibility to perform well in the final weeks of the season.
I can analyze players, but there are other factors to consider when it comes to contracts and what the players desire.'
Dybala has had a great season, scoring 13 goals and assisting six times in 29 appearances across all competitions.
He joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015 and has appeared in 283 games for the club, scoring 113 goals.
During his time at Turin, he also won five Serie A crowns and four Coppa Italia trophies
