Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will address the public on the state of the economy on April 7, according to Vice-spokesperson, President's Dr. Gideon Boako.

Dr. Gideon Boako, speaking on Accra's Asempa FM on Tuesday, March 22, said Dr. Bawumia will speak about the economy during a public forum in Cape Coast.

"Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President, will talk next month, in April 2022, also at a platform someplace in Cape Coast, for you to see that the Government has laid out a plan to deal with the difficulties," he stated.

There have been requests for Bawumia, as the leader of the Economic Management Team, to speak out publicly about the country's looming economic issues, which include fuel and commodity price spikes.

The Vice-President is anticipated to discuss how many causes, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine, have damaged the Ghanaian economy, as well as the government's response to the situation.

The economy was booming before to the advent of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, with positive signs and favorable assessments from worldwide economic experts.

When COVID-19 hit, the situation changed, and Fitch downgraded Ghana's economy to a B.

However, critics of the Vice President, particularly members of the opposition NDC, have repeatedly asked that he speak out about the country's deteriorating economic conditions.

Meanwhile, Former President Mahama said the current status of the economy is a challenge that requires sensible government actions on Monday during the inauguration of a mobile app for the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) at the University for Professional Studies in Accra.

As a result, he asked the once outspoken Dr. Bawumia to speak up.

"Daily price hikes, fuel price adjustments, and a currency in free fall have rather arrested the person who said he would arrest it." We're hunting for him because the dollar has arrested him.

"We haven't been able to locate him." I asked the IGP if he had the key to locate our Vice President, but he stated he didn't have it and didn't know where it was.
