Rio Ferdinand has denied accusations that he was a member of Erik ten Hag's Manchester United coaching staff.

According to the Telegraph, the Ajax coach has met with Manchester United to discuss the vacant manager's position.
Ferdinand and Robin van Persie, both United icons, have shown an interest in joining ten Hag's coaching team, according to the Express.
However, the former Red Devils centre-back has quickly debunked those rumors with a vehement response on social media.
Ferdinand has remained involved in football as a pundit for BT Sport and has launched his own weekly podcast, 'VIBE with Five,' since retiring from professional football.
Ferdinand has spoken candidly about Manchester United's problems in those podcasts, and has used them as a platform to criticize United players when their performances haven't been up to par.

The former England international has no professional coaching experience, so his inclusion in ten Hag's team would have been a huge surprise.
Despite the fact that ten Hag appears to be in pole position to become Manchester United's next permanent manager, Gary Neville, a former Red, has stated that Mauricio Pochettino would receive his vote over ten Hag.
