Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea has been crowned the Premier League's fastest player this season.
Rudiger clocked the fastest pace of any player in the top flight of English football in a match against Brighton earlier this season, according to data agency Opta.
Rudiger was first in the Premier League with a speed of 36.7 kmph (22.8 mph), slightly ahead of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and former Wolves winger Adama Traore.Salah and Traore are tied for second place on the list after averaging 36.6 kmph (22.7 mph) this season.
Ibrahima Konate, another Liverpool player, is fourth on the list with a speed of 36.2 km/h (22.5 mph).
Meanwhile, Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa and Patson Daka of Leicester are tied for fifth place with 36.1 km/h (22.4 mph).
Rudiger's contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season, and he will not be allowed to extend it owing to the ongoing sanctions against club owner Roman Abramovich.
The 29-year-old defender has held pre-contract talks with some of Europe's biggest teams, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.Despite the uncertainty surrounding his long-term future, Rudiger insists he is completely focused on Chelsea.
Rudiger said, through Sport Witness, to TuttoMercatoWeb: "Is there a future? I am now here, and I have always stated that I am content here, and we will see what we can do in the future."
