With 12 goals in the 2021-22 season for his German club, the Polish striker is now the UEFA Champions League's leading goal scorer. With an average of 0.82 goals per game, he has 85 goals in 104 appearances in the competition.In September 2011, Lewandowski's first experience of Champions League football came as a Borussia Dortmund player in a 1-1 draw against Arsenal. In 2012-13, he led the team to the competition's final, where they were defeated by Bayern Munich. After scoring 17 goals in 28 appearances for Borussia Dortmund in the competition, he joined the Bavarian giants in 2014.

 

Only once has Lewandowski won the UEFA Champions League, in 2020. That season, the striker scored 15 goals in ten appearances in the competition.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane is on the verge of becoming a legend. The Englishman has only ever played for the club in the UEFA Champions League, most recently in 2019. Kane has a goal-per-game ratio of 0.83 after scoring 20 goals in 24 appearances in the competition.

 

Kane debuted for Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League against AS Monaco in a 2-1 defeat in September 2016. In three appearances in the competition, he managed to score two goals.

 

In 2018-19, he guided his team to the competition final, where they were defeated by Liverpool, scoring five goals in nine appearances.In recent years, Tottenham has failed to qualify for the Champions League. Erling Haaland, a Norwegian kid, made his mark on the grandest stage of all with a hat-trick in the Champions League. When he debuted in the competition in September 2019, the striker was only 19 years old. He scored a hat-trick in Red Bull Salzburg's 6-2 win over Genk.In 19 games in the UEFA Champions League, he has 23 goals.

 

Midway through the 2019-20 season, Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund, where he continued his outstanding goalscoring record. In 13 appearances for Dortmund, the Norwegian teenager has scored 15 goals, including three in three this season.

 

Haaland has the record for being the only youngster in the Champions League to score in each of his first five appearances. He's also the only adolescent in the competition's history to score in five straight appearances.

 

Sebastian Haller is ranked number one (1.4 goals per game)

On a personal level, Ivorian attacker Sebastien Haller has produced one of the greatest Champions League surprises in recent memory. The former Eintracht Frankfurt and West Ham United striker failed miserably in England before joining Ajax in 2020. In his first season of competition (2021-22), he scored 11 goals in eight appearances.

 

In September 2021, Haller made his competitive debut for Ajax, scoring four goals in a 5-1 win over Sporting Lisbon. He scored goals in each of his next six outings in the competition to follow up his hat trick. In the Round of 16 second leg, he failed to score as his side lost 1-0 to Benfica, crashing out of the competition.Haller is the first guy to score in seven straight outings in the competition's history.

He's also the only player, other from Cristiano Ronaldo, to have ever scored in every group stage match of a season.
