OPEN LAND BORDERS FOR BUSINESS – OBIRI BOAHEN TELLS GOVT

Nana Obiri Boahen, the Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, has backed calls for Ghana's land borders to be fully opened to business.

 

 

Former President John Mahama and other Ghanaians have urged the government to reopen the land borders.

 

On March 22, 2020, President Akufo-Addo declared the closing of the country's land, sea, and air borders as part of efforts to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Land borders have remained  Mr Boahen told Nana Kwadwo Jantuah of Nhyira FM's Kuro Yi Mu Nsem that the extended closure of land borders is contributing considerably to the country's current economic suffering.

 

He desires that the borders be opened as quickly as possible.closed since the opening of the air and maritime borders.
