Arsenal has been advised that signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will cost them up to €100 million. The 23-year-old attacker is one of Europe's most sought-after strikers, having thrived in Naples since joining from Lille for €70 million two years ago.

This season, the Nigerian has 11 goals in 20 Serie A games for Luciano Spalleti's squad. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has taken notice of his goal-scoring prowess.

The Gunners are reportedly looking for a successor for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left for Barcelona in January, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

However, given the large cash required to get him to the Emirates Stadium, Arteta's task to secure the striker will be challenging. Benfica striker Darwin Nunez, Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak, and Everton attacker Dominic Calvert-Lewin are among the Gunners' options.

However, Arteta may be enticed by Osimhen's remarkable goalscoring record, which coincides with his youth.

Alexandre Lacazette, the current Arsenal striker, still has an air of uncertainty about his future. The Frenchman's contract with the club expires this summer, and there has been no progress in negotiations for a new deal. Lacazette has improved dramatically in recent months. Last month, he scored the game-winning goal in Arsenal's 2-1 comeback triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Arsenal's chances of securing a top player may improve if they qualify for the Champions League.

If Arsenal manages to qualify for the Champions League, it will undoubtedly help the Emirates Stadium attract greater names. Since 2017, the north London side has not competed in the UCL. Big stars may be interested in Arteta's concept if they get the chance to participate in Europe's top club league.

Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix is one name that has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal. Felix might join Arsenal, according to Football.London (via FourFourTwo), with the Gunners considering two striker deals. The 21-year-old is Atletico Madrid's most expensive signing in club history, having arrived for €126 million from Benfica in 2019. Despite being tipped as a future Balon d'Or winner, the Portugal international has failed to live up to expectations at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Given Arteta's attacking approach at the club, a move to the Gunners could suit the attacker. This is in stark contrast to Atletico's stale defensive strategy.
