LETTER TO THE MCE
Dear MCE,
Don't allow a small minority in Bawku to be pulling you here and there. You saying Bawku Naaba is the legitimate chief of Bawku doesn't change anything. You are only confirming an already existing fact that can never be changed.
1. There is no way you can ever be successful as MCE without Zug-raan. Yes I believe you need to be impartial but that should not mislead you to try to appease a group that insults a gazetted chief. Truth remains the only recognized chief in Bawku is Zug-raan. You must be bold in your dealings with people who are trouble causers. If even you to be with one faction be with those recognized under the law.
2. Know that Kusaasis would not be in a hurry to go back to the old market. We have every right to defend ourselves against military suppression. Integration is not a matter of coercion. Trust and mutual respect for rule of law.
3. Highways is untouchable and the the animals market is also same. We will integrate when we fully feel it's safe. They can also patronize the new market.
4. You are welcome to devise ways of collecting market tolls at the new market.
5. Tell Bawku FM, they will suffer it if they continue to use their media space to attack and insult the Overlord of Kusaug.
6. Kusasis love all ethnic groups that embrace peace. Settlers will not and will not be allowed to disrespect the Overlord of Kusaug.
7. When Mamprusis are finally enskinned as local community chiefs, peace will reign forever.
Finally it is your choice, whether you would be the minority or the majority.
Former MCE Hawa Ninchema was a Mamprusi by tribe but worked effortlessly with Zug-ran for peace and development. The palace was her first point of call for guidance. You can decide to take your advice from an illegal shed named "original chiefs".
I could understand from your speeches how you are determined to develop Bawku into a modern city but all is still not lost.
I understand this is the most difficult time to be an MCE.
Wishing you all the best in your tenure. Peace and development.
Thank you.
Harry Awintis Apali
Kusaug Ambassador
