Chelsea's new home shirt for the 2022/23 season has been leaked online, and it appears to be divisive.

While the uniform for this season has a distinct appearance, with its crosshatch of patterns and warped checks meant to evoke the 1960s.

The shirt is "inspired by the 1960s yet as fresh as they come," according to the press release.

@semihkececioglu appears to have posted the first images of Chelsea's 2022/23 home kit to Twitter, with the product confirming an earlier leak of the design.

The neckline will be white and turquoise, with the latter color displaying a pattern over the collar.

Footy Headlines reports

, the design fits Nike's season plan, with the kit set to be released in May 2022.

'Rush Blue/Chlorine Blue/White' are the official colors. The shorts should be the same three colors as the socks, with some 'College Navy' detailing on the last two.

The leak is only the most recent piece of information about Chelsea's upcoming season's clothing.

The Blues' pre-game jersey has also gone viral on the internet. The pattern on the shirt appears to be similar to the pattern on the collar of the home shirt.

The prototype for the away Chelsea top has also been released, and it features the same color palette as the home counterpart.

It will feature a number of 'Chlorine Blue' hoops in the same pattern as the collar of the home shirt.

Details will also be in 'College Navy,' on a white foundation, which will form the majority of the shirt and shorts.

While all of the current designs feature the Three logo, it remains to be seen what happens with Chelsea's sponsorship arrangement, which was requested by the mobile carrier to be terminated in the aftermath of Roman Abramovich's fines.

Despite this, the Blues have continued to wear the Three's logo on their current kit. According to football.london, the reason for this is that Chelsea do not have any stock of shirts without logos and are currently unable to order more following Abramovich's sanction.
