Kevin Owusu Afriyie, a student at Tema International School (TIS), built an electric off-road vehicle as part of his Middle Year Programme (MYP) project.

The project was performed under the supervision of School mechanic experts and tutors, who assisted the student in putting his gained skills in physics and mathematics to use.

According to the student, the decision to build the electric off-road vehicle allowed him to demonstrate his abilities while also gaining valuable knowledge.

Kevin Afriyie disclosed ideas to upgrade the car to make it even more sustainable.

"I've always loved cars and mechanics, and I've been making cars out of cardboard and other materials since I was a kid." "This project has been an emotional and physical rollercoaster. There were pleasant evenings when the measurements and equipment were correct, and there were also occasions when the calculations were incorrect, causing complications for the project," he explained.

"Through the course of this project, I have learned several career skills, such as 3D modeling, cutting and welding of metal bars and wiring, and have also profited from the use of research and collaborative abilities," he added.

"My friends for their encouragement, my loving mother and family for aiding me with cash and support," Kevin Owusu Afriyie said.

"I'm also pleased to be a part of TIS's Middle Year Program, which has allowed me to pursue such a project."
