A centenarian who has witnessed two world wars, three kings, and 25 Prime Ministers has revealed her secrets for a long life.
Marjorie Hodnett, also known as Auntie Marj, was born on April 1, 1914, and will age 108 in just over a week. She credits her longevity to her bloodlines.
The Formby woman, who was born in London, recalls air raids from the First World War as some of her first recollections.
According to the ECHO, she is not the first member in her family to survive to be 100 years old, applauding centenarians from both sides of her family as part of her successful journey.

"One family relative lived to reach 103, so I've outlived her," Marjorie explained.
"My father always used to say, 'creaking doors hang the longest,' and I believe he was correct. "I was carried down the stairs and placed on a mattress beneath my dining room table.
"I also recall my mum taking me out one night to see the Zeppelins go over." Stanely, the former teacher's first love, died tragically in 1955.
She married Hugh a year later in 1956, and the pair relocated to Sidbury, Devon, where she taught reception children for 23 years. "When the nurses realized they couldn't get rid of me fast enough, they returned to the room draped in plastic from head to toe, which I thought was very amusing," she laughed.
Marj's 108th birthday will be celebrated on April 1 at Formby Manor Nursing Home, with a handmade cake and a live vocalist slated to perform.
"I've already decided what I'm going to wear," Marjorie said, "but once they've taken my picture, I can go back to bed."
"Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the locations you can, to all the people you can," Marj claimed as her key to a long and happy life.
