In a brutal battle with galamseyers in Bonsa in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region, one person was killed and four others were injured.
In the event, which occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, four others were also arrested.
Chief Superintendent George Andrews Kuma, the Divisional Police Commander, verified the event, saying the parties were returning from the mining site.
"At the Bonsa tollbooth, an altercation happened. Following a distress call, officers went to the area, but only met one person who was in severe condition.
"While we were bringing him to the hospital for treatment, he died on the way." Alhassan alias Alla, a leader of one of the terrorist groups, has been identified.

Another commander, Apakaloo, was also slashed in the head, according to Chief Supt Kuma, and has been transferred to Korle Bu for treatment.
He also mentioned that three people were moved from the Pentecost clinic to the Municipal hospital.
Meanwhile, four more people are in police custody, aiding with inquiries into the source of the problem as well as the arrest of the ringleaders.
