Prince Settor, a 12-year-old child from Kasoa Opeikuma in the Central Region's Awutu Senya East Municipality, is said to have committed suicide.
According to information acquired by Adom News' Kofi Adjei, the deceased, a Junior High School (JHS) student, was missing after returning from school on Wednesday.
All attempts by parents and neighbors to locate young Settor were fruitless.
His lifeless body, however, was discovered later in their complex in an unfinished structure with a ripped rope around his neck. Joyce Settor, his mother, claimed in an interview that she was shocked and had yet to come to grips with the situation.
She stated she couldn't understand why her son would kill himself because he didn't exhibit any signs that anything was wrong with him.
Neighbors who believe the youngster was killed have demanded an immediate investigation.
The deceased's body has been placed in the mortuary of the Police Hospital for an autopsy.
