On the night of March 23, 2022, a young guy was shot and killed in Bole for allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
According to reports, the accused suspect, Mark, was attempting to steal a motorcycle with his buddies when they were pursued by others claiming to be law enforcement officers who opened fire, killing Mark.
While some assume that the shooting was carried out by the Bole Police, others claim it was carried out by a local vigilante organization formed by the Bole Traditional Council to help the police in combating crime in Bole and its surrounds.
The assassinated Mark is the son of a Bole Traditional Area sub-Chief. Another criminal incident involves a young man who was arrested murdering fowls in Bole town. According to the young guy, the tough man is accused of killing fowls and removing their heads, wings, and other parts of the fowl, leaving the rest of the bird at the crime site.
When Bolewura inquired as to why the young guy was going about doing so, he stated that one Mallam had advised him to do so in order for his galamsey company to thrive. He stated, however, that he always purchased the fowls.
The man claimed that as a consequence of his fowl sacrifice, he has been able to construct around 6 bedroom residences and that his galamsey company is thriving.
The young guy said the Mallam commanded him to repeat the sacrifice, but he was caught.
