When it comes to stunning transfer theories, no one does it better than Arsenal fans, and a brand new one has been created ahead of the summer window that involves Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
The Gunners will target two centre-forwards this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to complete his first-team squad overhaul, according to reports this week, and Benfica's Darwin Nunez has emerged as a new target. Furthermore, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah's contracts set to expire in June, Jonathan David, Alexander Isak, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Patrik Schick, and a surprise name in Robert Lewandowski are expected to complete Arsenal's main transfer mission this summer.
Haaland, on the other hand, would be the ideal signing for some Arsenal fans. This is despite transfer expert Fabrizio Romano dismissing the possibility of the Norway international linking up with compatriot Martin Odegaard at club level on his Here podcast.
"I see some Arsenal supporters asking about Erling Haaland, but guys, no." Erling Haaland is not a realistic option for Arsenal this summer. However, they are looking for a number of strikers.
"We know that they investigated the possibility of bringing Jonathan David from Lille in January, but it was impossible at the time." Let's see what happens over the summer. We know that many top clubs want Lille's Jonathan David. Darwin Nunez is another player. In the Champions League, he scored a crucial goal against Ajax. Important striker, he has a lot of goals, he has this Uruguayan mentality, he is a fighter and a very good player."
