A form two student of Ajumako Bisease Senior High School who is seventeen years old has attempted to put an end to her life after her taxi driver boyfriend threatened to dump her.
EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent, Yaw Boagyan stated clearly that, the student whose name is withheld has been in a relationship with the taxi driver since her time in Junior High School.
On Tuesday, 22nd March 2022, she decided to drink detergent to kill herself after her lover told her about walking out of the relationship because he found another woman.
According to the residents around the girl's hostel, they testified how their attention was drawn to screams seeking for help and later found her in pain and foam gushing from her mouth
She was rushed to the Ajumako Government Hospital where she was attended to and her condition stabilized.
She later revealed that she drank the substance because of the crisis she faced in her relationship
Currently, the Bisease Senior High is counseling her after an official document was given to the Ajumako District Police.
