Most Ghanaians have been impressed with the display of the Black Stars against their Nigerian counterparts. Many applauded the technical bench and the players. As we prepare for the return encounter in Abuja, a revelation about the Friday game is out.
Black Stars owe the performance to a lot of factors. Credible journalists, Sitso and Yaw Ampofo Jr, had credited one tactician for the important job he did behind the scenes on the day. Aside the team’s official technical bench, a shadow/ghost coach was deployed to monitor, access and analyze the Nigerian team during the game.
This ghost tactician is no person other than our very own Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum. Without knowing how he executed his role, it is sure his input joined the streams of tactical analysis on the field. However, he can’t represent in Nigeria because Asante Kotoko has a midweek match in the Ghana Premier League.
If he contributed his quota to yield that sizzling performance on Friday, then he deserves praise, even if it’s behind the scenes.
