England released footage from a training session, and Liverpool fans noticed a moment that perplexed Jordan Henderson.

The 'rondo' exercise is well-known to anyone who has seen footage from Liverpool's training grounds. It's a drill in which a circle of players passes the ball around, usually with only one touch, while a couple of teammates press them and try to take possession.

Rondos are an important - and often competitive - part of Reds practices.

However, it appears that this attitude is not always shared elsewhere.

The England football team posted a 'inside training' video to its official YouTube account yesterday, showing preparations for last night's friendly against Switzerland.

And a short clip from the video is going viral on social media. It depicts squad members during a rondo, with Jack Grealish and Nick Pope in the middle attempting to stop them.

The level of intensity begins to rise as the group enters the 40s, with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson speaking out loud to count the number of successful passes.

As Henderson reaches "41, 42, 43," the ball is passed to Manchester United's Harry Maguire, who decides to control it with his left before putting his right foot on top of it.

The Reds midfielder looks at Maguire, puzzled, and asks, "What are you doing?"

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool fans have been ruthless in their reactions to the video.

"He looks disgusted with him, love how serious Henderson takes things," tweeted @CarlWhite83. "Hendo says what the world has been thinking all season," wrote @Andy Gardner1.

"Hendo is just glad he doesn't have to deal with that on a weekly basis," @ccoburn015 added, followed by a string of laughing emojis.

Even some Manchester United fans couldn't help but weigh in on Maguire's antics. @whoiszolo elaborated: "He isn't used to it. At United, all we do is chase after the ball."

Henderson played 90 minutes as England won 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
