ARSENAL are interested in signing Manchester United star Marcus Rashford during the summer transfer window.

After confronting a fan, Wright comes out in support of Rashford.

According to reports, Arsenal is considering a summer transfer for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford. This season, both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick have struggled with his form at Old Trafford. And now it appears that a move to the Emirates Stadium is in the works.

Manchester United gave Rashford his debut in 2016, with former manager Louis van Gaal believing he had everything it took to reach the top.

While he has had his moments, the England international has regressed in recent years under managers such as Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho, and Ralf Rangnick.

Rashford has failed to deliver for Manchester United this season, scoring just five goals across all competitions.

He's also begun to appear disoriented on the field, with his mood deteriorating since Rangnick's appointment in December.

And now, according to The Mirror, Arsenal is considering a summer move for Rashford.

Three players, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, are said to be driving Arsenal's current thinking.

Though Arsenal has shone since the departure of the Gabonese international, they are aware that they require a top forward to fill the void left by his departure to Barcelona in January

With Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah's futures also uncertain, the north London giants are interested in Rashford.

If they qualify for the Champions League ahead of Manchester United, they are expected to make a move.

And it will provide Rashford with the opportunity for a fresh start, which he will require as he approaches the peak years of his career.

When it comes to transfers, Arsenal and United have a good relationship, having negotiated several deals over the last decade.

Manchester City wanted Robin van Persie in 2012, but he chose to leave Arsenal for Old Trafford instead.

Danny Welbeck was deemed surplus to requirements two years later, when Van Gaal was in charge of Manchester United.

As a result, Arsenal pounced on the opportunity to sign the striker, with Manchester United bringing in Radamel Falcao as a replacement.

Alexis Sanchez was attempting to leave the Emirates in January 2018.

City were considered frontrunners to sign the Chile international, especially given his previous experience playing under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona.

United, on the other hand, jumped ahead of their fierce rivals by negotiating a swap deal with Arsenal.

Sanchez crossed the line, and Mourinho agreed to send Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Gunners as part of the deal.
