George Mireku Duker, Deputy Minister in Charge of Mines at the Lands Ministry, says the Ministry and government will go to great lengths to assist Electrochem Ghana Limited in developing the Songor concession and producing and exporting high-quality salt from Ghana.

"The Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor, informed me that the Ministry will assist the Electrochem project in order for us to win together; it is a win-win situation for all of us," he stated. Electrochem Ghana's success benefits the Ada traditional area as well as Ghana as a country."

Duker made the discovery on Friday during a familiarization tour of Electrochem Ghana's plant in Sege, in the Greater Accra region's Ada West District.

We are pleased that Eletrochem Ghana produces and exports salt, he stated. "One of the strategies to counteract the dollar control in this country is to export to other jurisdictions so that we have value."

"The ministry is pleased that Electrochem Ghana is adding value to our salt, which other nations are requesting," he added.

Dr. Daniel McKorley, chairman of the McDan Group of Companies, emphasized the significance of Electrochem Ghana's social investment efforts.

"We're here to bring change," he said. "This project can't succeed without the community, so the community is very important to me." That is why we place such a premium on our CSR projects and the positive influence we have on people's lives."
