5. The quickest goal

Hakan Sukur, a Turkish footballer, scored the first goal in the 2002 World Cup third-place play-off match between Turkey and hosts South Korea in the 11th second, making it the fastest goal in World Cup history. He has held the record for the past 20 years.

4. The quickest hat-trickIn the past 52 World Cups, 52 players have scored hat-tricks, but none have done so as quickly as Hungary's Laszlo Kiss. In the second half of a 1982 World Cup group stage encounter between Hungary and El Salvador, the attacker came on as a substitute and scored a hat-trick in eight minutes. Hungary won the match by a score of 10-1.

3. The most goals scored in a single game

Russia's Oleg Salenko is the only player in World Cup history to score five goals in a single game. The accomplishment was accomplished in a 1994 World Cup group stage encounter between Russia and Cameroon. The Russians beat the Cameroonians 6-1, with Salenko scoring five goals.

2. The highest number of goals scored in a single tournament

The 1958 World Cup may have been won by Brazil and their future star, Pele. Just Fontaine of France, on the other hand, was one of the competition's standout performers. With 13 goals, Fontaine guided his country to the 1958 World Cup semifinals. France, unfortunately, was crushed 5-2 by eventual champions Brazil. To date, the French striker holds the record for scoring double digits in a single edition of the competition, which he has held for 64 years.

1. Player with the most World Cup titles

Brazil dominated the World Cup between 1958 and 1970, winning three of the four editions. The Brazilians were simply unbeatable during that decade, with Pele serving as the center of attraction for those Brazilian squads. The legendary footballer was an integral component of Brazil's every championship triumph and is the only player in history to win three World Cup titles. However, due to an injury received midway through the 1962 World Cup, he did not play the entire tournament for Brazil.
