North Macedonia coach Blagoja Milevski held a press conference on Monday afternoon ahead of the game against Portugal, the final game of the 2022 World Cup play-offs. The Macedonian coach rejected the idea of seeing his team focus only on Cristiano Ronaldo.
"We are talking about the best player in the world in recent years. But we are not going to play only against him. Portugal is not just about Ronaldo. We will focus on the whole team and not just on one player, "Blagoja Milevski said at the press conference.
"Portugal has a different style, with exceptional players and enormous value at international level. But we also have quality, and we will try to function as a team, "he added.
"No one would expect that from North Macedonia in this play-off, but we won't run away from this opportunity. We are in a good position and we will make the most of this moment against a great team. We have a great atmosphere. Everyone is ready to play their part. What can we expect from this final? We are going to take advantage of the moment, do everything, and, as far as we can, win, "he concluded.
