Ghana has advanced to the World Cup finals in Qatar in December with a hard-earned 1-1 draw against Nigeria, as they qualify through the away goal rule.

Arsenal's Thomas Partey fired the first goal in a strike from the edge of the box which went through Francis Uzoho in the Nigerian goal. A goalkeeper error giving the away side the lead early on.

Nigeria took over the game and equalised after Ademola Lookman was brought down in the box by Dennis Odoi. The decision went to VAR and William Troost-Ekong made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Ghana held on for five minutes of added time as they advanced to the World Cup finals for the first time since 2014. Congratulations Ghana ?? ???
