Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has descended heavily on the minority side of Parliament.
In a long Facebook post he tagged the NPP as a better player of the hard ball of politics.
"Politics is hard ball and clearly the NPP plays it better. The minority claim is that one of it's members was on his way from court, so they didn't have the numbers.
Question, what happened to filibustering (the legitimate parliamentary process of delaying or obstructing a process) if the NPP was so determined to the point of wheeling a seriously ill MP in an ambulance to vote, the NDC had no excuse not exhausting legitimate parliamentary procedure to get it's members into the chamber to vote.
On a day when it mattered the most, leadership failed and that is what they will be remembered for when history of this shambolic spectacle is written. Everyone knows the NPP is horrible, but that's why you need a serious opposition to hold their balls by the fire and not make them get away with the kind of horrendous things they get away with in Parliament".
His outrage comes at the back of the walkout staged by the minority during the approval of the controversial electronic transaction levy bill.
Addressing the media after the walkout, the minority leader described the process as an illegality and nullity and however promised to challenge it at the Apex Court.
Ghanaians who transact more than ¢100 a day electronically will have to pay an additional 1.50% charge couched as e-levy. Government expects to roll in over 7 billion cedis to support infrastructure, entrepreneuriaship and other developmental drives.
