BRAZIL ESTABLISHES A NEW SOUTH AMERICAN WORLD CUP QUALIFICATION RECORD

Following their victory over Bolivia, Brazil has set a new South American World Cup qualifying record.Tite's team won their most recent match 4-0, with goals from Lucas Paqueta and Bruno Guimaraes, as well as a brace from Everton's Richarlison.

 

Brazil has 45 points from 17 games in qualification, which is a new record for the most points by any side in the group's history.

 

They outperformed Argentina's performance in the 2002 group, when Marcelo Bielsa's side earned 43 points from all of their games.

 

The Canarinho still have one more encounter against the White and Sky Blue, but regardless of the outcome, they will lead the group ahead of the championship in Qatar later this year.After Belgium was held to a draw in their most recent encounter against Republic of Ireland, Brazil is expected to reclaim the top spot in the FIFA World Rankings.
