Following the approval of the Electronic Transaction Levy (E-Levy) Bill, Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome Kwabenya, has been trending on social media. For more than two months, she has been on leave in parliament.

The Minister for Gender Equality has been accused of impeding government work despite the fact that the 8th Parliament is hung.

As a result, some of her colleagues have spoken out against her, venting their anger on her.

According to sources, the Chief of Staff gave her GHS120,000 to allow her go to Ghana to attend legislative sessions.

The Gender Minister is yet to return to Ghana, but the E-levy has been passed by Parliament after the Minority walked out, claiming that the tax is a weapon to exacerbate the plight of ordinary Ghanaians.

President Akufo-consent Addo's to the agreed tax is currently awaiting Parliament's approval.

Mrs Safo has taken over Twitter trends despite her failure to return to the nation.

Some internet users questioned how they (the Majority Caucus) were able to approve the contentious law while there was no quorum in the House and Adwoa Safo was not there.
