The European football governing body, UEFA, has released a ranking of the greatest clubs in Europe, based on their performances in elite European events such as the UEFA Champions League and their respective subordinate leagues this season.
Champions of the German Bundesliga, According to the new UEFA rankings, Bayern Munich is the greatest club in Europe this season. With 63 points and a goal difference of +53, they are currently in first place in their domestic league (Bundesliga). They've also advanced to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Manchester City, the Premier League champion, is presently Europe's second best club. The Cityzens lead the English Premier League this season, with 70 points and a goal differential of +50, ahead of Liverpool.After a strong showing in the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool is the third best club in Europe this season. With 69 points and a goal difference of +55, the Reds are now second in the EPL standings.
In both the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea has routinely fared well. They are the sixth best club in Europe.
