Steven Bergwijn has conceded he will "see what occurs in the mid-year" concerning his future at Tottenham.

 

The forward was an objective for Ajax throughout the January move window as Spurs dismissed a £15m offer for the previous PSV Eindhoven star.

 

Bergwijn held converses with Antonio Conte, who really wants to keep him yet has neglected to exploit his renowned support against Leicester City in January.

 

Restricted to just a single Premier League start since, the marking and resulting effect of Dejan Kulusevski have just expanded rivalry for places in the Tottenham forefront, with even Lucas Moura taking something of a rearward sitting arrangement lately.

 

Global football, notwithstanding, has offered something of a place of refuge for the 24-year-old.
