FIFA LAUNCH INVESTIGATION INTO EGYPT'S WORLD CUP PLAY-OFF DEFEAT

The World Cup qualifier between Senegal and Egypt is being investigated by FIFA.

 

Mohamed Salah and his teammates were targeted by lasers during the penalty shootout, which finished in a penalty shootout.

Senegal earned a spot in Qatar by winning 3-1 on penalties. However, there has been a severe backlash, with Egypt making charges about their treatment in Dakar.

Green lasers were shone at Egypt's players and goalkeeper during the shootout.

 

 

 

'The national team has been exposed to racism with inflammatory signs in the stands against Egyptian players in general, and Mohamed Salah in particular,' according to an Egyptian FA statement.

 

 

 

FIFA has promised to review match reports before making any further decisions.

 

 

 

'FIFA is now analyzing the official match reports from the FIFA World Cup qualification encounter between Senegal and Egypt,' according to the statement.

 

 

 

Before deciding on the following measures, the competent disciplinary bodies will analyze the relevant evidence contained in the match reports.'
