The newest team to enter the race for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Frenchman is also being pursued by Real Madrid and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old is in hot demand, with reports claiming that five prominent European heavyweights are interested in signing him.

Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Barcelona have all been tracking Kounde, according to Fichajes.

However, according to a recent rumour from Fichajes, PSG has joined the hunt for the defender who has been extremely impressive throughout his time at Sevilla. The Frenchman joined Sevilla for £22.5 million from Ligue 1 club Bordeaux in 2019 and has made 124 appearances for Julen Lopetegui's side since then.

With each impressive performance, interest in the defender has grown. Thomas Tuchel of Chelsea is a known admirer of Kounde.

Real Madrid is also a contender, with defensive reinforcements rumoured for the summer.

The Parisians appear to be joining the race for a defender who is quickly establishing himself as one of Europe's most highly regarded centre-backs.

Real Madrid and Chelsea are both interested in overhauling PSG. Jules Kounde (Jules Kounde)

With a prospective new manager at the helm at Parc des Princes, PSG are ready to undergo a slew of changes this summer.

The future of current manager Mauricio Pochettino is still a topic of discussion.

Pochettino has reportedly held negotiations with Manchester United about taking over as manager at Old Trafford, according to Foot Mercato.

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils choose the Argentinian to succeed current temporary manager Ralf Rangnick. However, the fact that PSG appears to have offered the former Tottenham Hotspur coach the chance to speak with the Manchester club speaks loudly.

According to GetFootballNewsFrance, if the Ligue 1 leaders wish to fire Pochettino, they will have to pay €20 million, which is why they may be waiting for United to entice him away from Paris.

In terms of their squad, Kylian Mbappe appears to be on his way to Real Madrid, putting an end to a long-running transfer saga.

According to Marca, the former AS Monaco striker is close to signing a contract with Los Blancos. Angel Di Maria is another attacker who is expected to leave the Parc des Princes, according to AS, with the Argentinian forward contemplating a return to Benfica in the Primeira Liga.

The future of Lionel Messi is still a topic of discussion. Rumors circulated that he would be returning to Barcelona after leaving Catalonia for Paris last summer.

Those allegations, however, have been debunked by Barcelona president Joan Laporta. The arrival of Kounde might be the start of a major transition at the Ligue 1 champions, but they will have to fend off interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.
