As is well known, just as football players play for various clubs, they also have a national team for which they compete on an international level.

Despite having their own national teams, certain players have the opportunity to play for another national team owing to certain circumstances.

As a result, we will see five great players who, depending on their citizenship, might play for two different clubs in international games.

Check out the five players below, along with some information about their citizenship:

Jorginho is number one.

• Currently, he is a member of the Italian national team.

• Has a chance to play for Brazil

Jorginho's father is Italian, although he (Jorginho) was born in Brazil, making him a naturalized citizen.

Elanga, Anthony

• At the moment, he is a member of the Swedish national team.

• Possibility of representing England Elanga can play for three different national teams.

For starters, his father is a Cameroonian, and as such, Cameroon has approached him about playing for the country (according to reports).

Second, he was born in Sweden and is thus a naturalized citizen.

He migrated to England when he was 12 years old and is now a British citizen (he has obtained citizenship).

As a result, he has the option of representing Sweden, England, or Cameroon in international competition.

Raphael Guerreiro is number three on the list.

• At the moment, he is a member of the Portugal national team.

• Possibility of representing France

Guerreiro was born in Paris, France, despite the fact that his father is Portuguese. As a result, he holds dual citizenship, one through naturalization and the other by birth.

Pepe is number four.

• At the moment, he is a member of the Portugal national team.

• Has a chance to play for Brazil

He is a naturalized Portuguese (his family is Portuguese), yet he was born in Brazil.

As a result, he holds dual citizenship.

Emerson Palmieri dos Santos is number five on the list.

• At the moment, he is a member of the Italian national team.

• Has a chance to play for Brazil

He was likewise born in Santos, Sao Paulo State, Brazil; however, his father (parents) is Italian.

As a result, all of these players have dual citizenship, owing to naturalization and birth, respectively. As a result, they have the option of playing for either of the national teams.

All of them, however, have opted to play for their father's country, which takes precedence over any other acquaintance.

What are your thoughts on these players? Which national team is the best fit for them?
