The Pentecost Men Ministry (PEMEM) of PIWC of the Church of Pentecost in Ho Area on Monday, 7th March, 2022, held a “Fitness for Christ program”.
The program was done in collaboration with other Ministries of the Church. Parents came along with their children to partake in this very useful exercise.
The participants ranged from children to adults, numbering about 70.
Among the 70 participants who graced the occasion were the Ho Area PEMEM Leader- Pastor Michael Edjouku Arthur, the PIWC-Ho Resident Minister- Pastor David Francis Akayue, the PIWC-Ho Presiding Elder-Elder Makafui Nyamadi with his PEMEM Leader- Elder Daniel Adjei-Mantey. Other senior citizens including Deaconess Victoria Kpelebe and WO1 Deacon Eric Amegboe could not miss the event.
Pastor Michael Arthur expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the program and said God needs a healthy body to perform His works. He said the session was in a right order for the body to be fit and healthy and serves as the Ministry’s contribution in equipping the Church in the possessing the nations agenda. He encouraged participants to make it a regular practice to exercise their bodies.
Furtherance to this, Pastor Akayue said that after building our spirituality it’s expedient to also build on our physical systems.
The program started with jogging from the converging point at the OLA Senior High School up the Kabakaba hill using the Sky Plus route, covering a journey of 5 kilometers.
The participants were taken through aerobic session and advised on healthy living. The fitness session was cooled down with assorted fruits. Members exchanged pleasantries at the end of the session while the organizers look forward to the next session.
What made the program a remarkable one was that, participants jogged back to the point of convergence with a prayer marathon intertwined with evangelism and sharing of track with people they met on their way.
