Bruno Fernandes, a Portuguese international footballer, has extended his contract with Manchester United until June 2026, with one season remaining, the English club stated today on its official website.

"Manchester United is thrilled to announce that Bruno Fernandes has signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until June 2026, with a one-year extension option." Fernandes, who has twice been named Player of the Year, has generated more scoring chances than any other United player since his arrival in January 2020.

The 27-year-old midfielder, who plays alongside fellow countrymen Diogo Dalot and Cristiano Ronaldo, has played 177 games for Manchester United, scoring 49 goals and assisting 39 times.

"It's an honor to wear this shirt and battle for our fantastic club." I'd like to accomplish a lot more here. Above all, we want to offer our supporters the success they deserve. We've had some fantastic times in recent years, but the best is yet to come," stated Bruno Fernandes in a statement issued by Manchester United.

Fernandes studied at Boavista, Infesta, and Pasteleira, but began his career in Italy with Novara, before going on to Udinese, Sampdoria, and Sporting.

The midfielder has appeared in 42 games and scored eight goals for the Portuguese national team, including the final stages of the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020.
