World Cup 2022 draw simulated as England given difficult group stage opponents in Qatar

England will learn their fate in the official draw for the 2022 Qatar World Cup on Friday, but Mirror Football have already run the competing nations through our very own simulator, with some interesting results

One of the biggest questions remaining about the 2022 World Cup? Who will be playing who, of course!

England are well qualified, and waiting on the results of remaining qualifying campaigns to find out their opponents in Qatar during the April 1st draw.

32 teams, including hosts Qatar, Brazil, the USA, Spain and current champions France will be placed into their final groups, solving that big question.

The seeded draw is fairly easy to predict, while there are variations in the make-ups of each of the eight groups, there can only be a few possibilities due to the draw rules preventing too many teams from the same association/continent making up a group.

Still, attempting to figure out all of these groups out in your head is only going to lead to one thing: a headache.

Thankfully, we've got you covered. Enter our draw simulator.

Our supercomputer will do all the thinking for you - just hit the button (and perhaps choose to sign up to our in-depth England newsletter?) and allow the widget to do the work for you!

Let us know in the comments what your draw looks like. Who was in your Group of Death? Do Qatar stand a chance of progressing in your draw? Who did England get - will they face the USA? Germany? Poland? There's plenty of discussion to be had, and we can't wait to hear from you.
