Though many celebrities are passing through emotional damages as a result of some casualty or unpredictable occurrences, they still console themselves with many deserving talents as a celebrity.
In the absence of their commitment in their various field as a celebrity, they are blessed with a loving family who cares for them so much.
However, I will be sharing with us the 4 disabled Nigerian celebrities who have thrilled us in the entertainment despite being physically disabled.
First on our list is Doris Samuel Akonanya;
Doris happens to be a famous Nigerian celebrity and dancer who lost one of her legs at the age of 13, after she was knocked down by a motorcycle.
After a series of medical check-ups, one of her legs was amputated. Despite her condition, she ventured into the entertainment industry in 2014 and was able to make names for herself within one year in the field after featuring in the movie titled ”Susanna”. Currently, she has thrilled us as one of the fast-rising Nollywood actors in Nigeria.
Next is Yinka Ayefele;
Yinka is a Nigerian radio presenter, singer, music producer, and businessman who went through a car accident that wrecked his spinal cord, causing him to depend on a wheelchair for movement.
Though he was in pain after passing through so many limitations due to his disability, he wasn’t discouraged from achieving his dream. He made his first debut in 1977 and came out of dim light in 1988, after releasing his debut album titled ”Bitter Experience”. With his fuji style of music, he has thrilled us as a musician in the entertainment industry.
Then, Opurum Beauty Chidenma;
Chidenma is a popular Nigerian model and actress whose arm was amputated at the age of 5 years due to an occasional fall from a distance height.
Despite her condition, she was more focused on making her dream come true. She has currently thrilled us with her characters in Nigerian movies after playing major roles with some top Nollywood actors.
And finally, Michael Oluchi Mary;
As one of the popular Instagram influencers, with more than 200k followers, she is well respected in society for inspiring many people with her willingness to excel despite her disability.
She is a mother of two boys whose arm was amputated due to an unconditional incident at an unusual point.
With this piece of information, I hope I have been able to show you that one shouldn't give up on their dreams just because of a disability. Disability does not mean inability. There are so many achievements one can gain with just a little push and I hope this article has helped with that push.
