Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the creator of the FixtheCountry campaign, has stated that if he had realised Ghana was as difficult as it is now, he would not have filed for bail when he was remanded in prison.
On Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, he posted on his official Facebook page, "In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022, he wrote:
"My 1000 Ghana gone between the gasoline station, lunch, and saying hello to an old acquaintance yesterday paa.
Charley, I would not have filed for bail if I had known how difficult Ghana was paa. Kae".
Oliver Barker was arrested and released on bail after posting a coup d'etat on his Facebook page. His remarks are made in the context of what he perceives to be suffering in Ghana. Ghana appears to be in the midst of an economic crisis, as fuel costs continue to rise, as do prices for a variety of other goods.
