A 17-year-old SHS boy was ambushed and killed by armed robbers in Chiraa in Ghana's Bono Region this morning, making for a sorrowful scene. God has been so good that one of the armed robbers abandoned his phone and Ghana Card at the crime scene while fleeing. The Chiraa Police Department picked up the exhibits for further examination.
When he met his attackers, the 17-year-old Chiraa Senior High School student was riding a tricycle. They allegedly hired him to transport them to Ahyiaem, a neighbouring village on the Chiraa-Techiman Road. They reportedly wrapped the boy's neck with a rope in the middle of the road and killed him instantly.
They took his sales for the day and the keys to his trike after the terrible incident. The burglars allegedly began pedalling towards Techiman Road, only to discover that the tricycle's gasoline supply was insufficient. They fled after abandoning the trike. Unfortunately, that was also the time when one of them lost his Ghana Card and phone.
Chiraa Police picked up the body of the young child this morning as they continue their investigation to apprehend the robbers.
