Despite the uproar on the continent, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is committed to his club's participation in a breakaway European Super League.
Laporta went on to highlight the club's significant difficulties, including the potential acquisition of Erling Haaland, Ousmane Dembele's contract, and Leo Messi's comeback.
In an interview with TVE, Laporta remarked of the European Super League, "It's moving forward."
"With Florentino Perez, with whom I frequently communicate, we are promoting the concept.
It is a means of preserving European football.
It is self-evident that we must integrate it within the European football structure while preserving domestic leagues.
They are necessary for our survival.
"We cannot allow governments that are not members of the European Union to control European football."
It is undeniable that [Manchester] City and PSG are money-making machines, and we are fighting back.
"It's not only the three clubs I'm talking about; there are others who are silent but support us in the background."
Barcelona are set to strengthen their coffers thanks to an agreement with CVC as well as Spotify's name rights to the Camp Nou, although Laporta is leery of overpaying for players like Erling Haaland or Leo Messi.
He stated, "I put the institution above the players, coaches, directors, and executives."
"We will not make any signings that will change our salary philosophy."
We seek to enhance the team as a whole rather than individuals.
I'm not going to disclose any names since it would inflate their price and be a disservice to Barcelona.
"I would be thrilled if Leo [Messi] wanted to chat to me about returning to Barcelona."
Barcelona's chances of winning LaLiga Santander remain upbeat, according to Laporta.
"I'm confident that we can win.

"Simply put, we are very strong in the final stretch of the season, with the team working at full capacity and a coach who has clear ideas and forces us to play our natural brand of football.
